**Last Minute Gifts** Paper Maniac Inspiration

Our Paper Maniac Inspiration this week is Last Minute Gifts! And, especially at this time of year, I find myself scrambling for ideas! HAHA. I usually buy a bunch of these 4X6 frames at Walmart and keep them down in my craft room, for special occasions, where I need to make something...fast.

It's really so easy to make one of these little frames. I use the small piece of cardboard inside the frame as my base, and then decorate with designer paper, fabulous stamp images and then decorate with bling and ribbons. You can even get more elaborate with making these frames, by painting them, mod-podging with designer papers on the frame itself, and decorating the frame. Today, I just left it plain!! Easy, peasy.

This cute little frame is for my very sweet hubby! I love how the two owls have their heads touching together. And the sentiment is just too cute, I know "owl always have him by my side." I wrapped the frame in tissue paper, with a little "love you" card and left it on his nightstand as a surpirse!! :-)

Here is a close-up of the stamped images and paper-piecing:

Supplies used: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co- November Store Kit. Papers: MyMindsEye- Be Loved Designer papers and SU- Vanilla. Ink: Memento- Cocoa, Ladybug and Sand (for sponging), SU- Cool Caribbean. Accessories: Martha Stewart Rhinestones, PTI Aqua Mist ribbon. I paper-pieced the hearts and the owls, and I used CPS Sketch #111 as the inspiration for my layout.

{Ippity} Stamps- Devoted

Hello, here is another {Ippity} card I made, this time using the kit called Devoted. I really like this set, as it has alot of my favorite scripture quotes, and there is also a darling little butterfly, a house, and heart stamps as well.
I used SCS Color Challenge #245, which was to incorporate Artichoke, Real Red and Chocolate Chip on the card. The Cosmo Cricket Early Bird designer papers go really well with this color combo, and are used here too! I also included the SCS Technique Challenge #247, which was to "go outside the box." That's where you will see my popped-up hearts, which fall just outside the laters of the card. This is a really FUN technique.
Thanks for stopping by.

I love when Ally gives me a rectangular sketch to work with for the So Sketchy Blog. Here is the inside of my card.
Supplies: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co- November STORE Kit (outside sentiment) and Bright and Merry Winter Wishes (inside sentiment). Papers: Prism- Tawny light, Nautical Blue and Herbal Garden, Imaginisce- Polar Expressions DSP. Ink: Memento. PM Inspirations: Holiday Decor- Mug Charms

Here is another sample of Holiday Ornaments/Decor items you can make, using wonderful suplies found in the Paper Maniac Store. Today, I decided to make "Mug Charms." Since the holidays are upon us, so are the holiday parties. Have you ever had a time when you attended a gathering and you put your mug (or wine glass) down, and after a bit of time socializing, you forget which mug is yours?? These cute charms are so easy to make, and will help out with that kind of situation. (Simply label the backs of the charms with your guests names.)
Here they are hanging on the mugs!! I used the adorable cocoa mug stamp from Imaginisce, found right in the Paper Maniac store. You can even make wine glass charms too, all you need is a bag of plain hoops (found at Walmart or any craft store in the jewelery section) and some small beads to place on the sides of the charm, for added decoration or a burst of color. I colored the stamped image with my Copics and used a little Taffy smooch on the inside of the hearts for some shimmer. Label the back of the charms with your guests' names.
Happy Holidays!!

Snowflake Medallion Ornament

Today, our Paper Maniac focus is Ornaments and Decor for the holidays, using Nestabilities dies. There are TONS of them in stock in the Paper Maniac Store. I am showcasing an ornament I made using the Nestabilities Create-a-Flake dies. I LOVE these dies, they are sooooo versatile- you can create so much with them- cards, ornaments, embellishments and more!
I used the SCS Snowflake Medallion tutorial for my project, and then just turned the medallion into an ornament, instead of an embellishment for a card. I LOVE how sparkly it is- can you imagine your tree decorated with tons of sparkly snowflakes?? Unfortunately, when I got home yesterday afternoon, it was dark (so much for daylight savings time), so I could not place this on a tree branch, but I hope you can see how sparkly it is against the black paper.
Join in the Holiday crafting fun- visit the Paper Maniac blog every day in November for some really neat holiday projects and inspiration!!
