Wedding Wishes

Today is the day!! My baby brother is getting married today, to a beautiful, kind, caring woman! I couldn't be more happy. The wedding is finally here, after what seemed like ages away, has slowly crept up, and poof, its here! So, here is a special card I made for them to celebrate their special day.
Teal is their wedding color, so I incorporated it into the card as much as I could. And, of course, I just had to use those big Ippity flowers from the Now and Always kit. :-)
See the texture on the teal layer? That is made with the Moroccan Motifs impression plate from Papertrey Ink. (I LOVE LOVE LOVE their impression plates!!) The pattern papers are from Echo Park- Summertime collection. (Ummm, yeah, I LOVE LOVE LOVE those papers, too)
Here is a close up of the flower layers. I used a touch of glitter glue on the swirlies on the bottom layer. It need some sparkle, people! :-) The button is a Hawaiian Shores vintage button from PTI. The leaves are stamped in black Memento ink on PTI Simply Chartreuse cardstock and cut out.
The sentiment, "On Your Wedding Day," is from the Papertrey Ink kit called Year of Flowers: Roses, and is stamped in Dandelion Memento ink. I stamped it inside a Fillable Frames 4 stamp, then cut out using the Fillable Frames 4 die. The ribbon is Hawaiian Shores bitty dot satin from Papertrey Ink.
I also had to deocrate the inside of the card, which you can see, peeking through on this photo. Its basically just another large Ippity flower layered up.

{On Your Wedding Day}
Cardstock: PTI White, Hawaiian Shores, Chartreuse.
Pattern Paper: Echo Park- Summertime.
Stamps: Ippity- Now & Always. PTI- Year of Flowers-Roses, Fillable Frames 4.
Ink: Memento.
Accessories: PTI- Hawaiian Shores ribbon, Moroccan Motifs impression plate, Hawaiian Shores button, foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and HAPPY 4th of July!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Birthday Wishes

Here is a bright and HAPPY brithday card I made for a dear friend who is celebrating her birthday this weekend.
Again, super easy to make. Just run a layer of Papertrey Ink Raspberry Fizz cardstock through your cuttlebug with the sunshine impression plate to get the textured look, then adhere to your card.
Next, adhere a small strip of Echo Park Summertime pattern paper to the center of the card and tie with simply chartreuse ribbon.
Stamp Fillable Frames 5 onto cardstock and cut using the matching die, then stamp sentiment inside the frame.
Punch several butterflies in coordinating colors, using the Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Adhere to card. Use white gel pen to add accents to butterflies. (They looked too plain to me. lol.) Easy peasy!!

Here's a real simple card I made to celebrate our PaperManiac theme this week, which is God Bless America!

I used Neenah Solar White cardstock and Our Craft Lounge- Patriotic Parade stamps. I also used red satin ribbon across the top of the card, and Memento inks. The texture on the cardstock is the picnic plaid impression plate from Papertrey Ink, along with the Fillable Frames 4 stamp and die.

Celebration Time...Come on!!

Got the chance to play with some of the new Papertrey ink releases again, and I created this card for my mother's anniversary. I really like the big flowers in the All About You stamp set- I like coloring them all different colors and cutting them out into little flower arrangements. I also used the Fillable Frames 5 on this card, with matching sentiment.

The papers are PTI Terracotta Tile cardstock base, October Afternoon- Fly a Kite pattern paper, and Core'dinations- Cosmo Cricket basics. Accessories include: PTI Aqua Mist satin ribbon, glitter glue (for flower centers), PTI Fresh Snow ink, and Memento ink.

You Make Me Smile...

The newest releases from Papertrey Ink have been so amazing! This card uses the new sets called: All About You, All About You Additions and Flutter By Friend. My gosh, how I LOVE the flowers, sentiments and butterflies in these sets. :-)

I had so much fun creating a little scene on this card. First I created a blue sky by running some PTI Spring Rain cardstock through my cuttlebug with the Sunshine Impression plate. (I am addicted to this impression plate-believe me, it is SO COOL!!)

Next I made a grassy piece by cutting small strips on the Spring Moss cardstock. I then curled the strips to make them look like grass.

I stamped the flowers and butterflies on white cardstock and colored them in with Copic markers. Then, I cut out the images and adhered them to the cardfront with foam dimensionals. A little touch of glitter glue here and there on the images added a nice touch of sparkle. This was such a fun card to make, and I dedicate it to you, my friends...YOU make me smile everday!!

{You Make Me Smile}

FLY AWAY WITH ME

Ok. I admit it. I am addicted to Papertrey Ink stamps. Especially this new set called, Up, Up and Away. I LOVE that the stamps are big enough to color them anyway you want, AND....there is a matching balloon die, so you dont even have to cut the balloons out. Simply color, die cut and adhere to your card front. Easy peasy!

See the impressed circular background?? That was made with the sunshine impression plate, also from PTI. I LOVE how the impression plates can be run through the cuttlebug! Again, sooooo easy!!

There are some super adorable sentiments with this stamp set as well. The sentiment here, "fly away with me," is pretty reminiscent of how I feel lately. Sometimes, I just want to fly away, so you are welcome to join me, friends!! First stop...somewhere I have always wanted to go to.....Australia. (heehee)

Ippity Hippity Hoppity {Friend}

Happy IPPITY Monday!! It's time for another Ippity Hippity Hop. I just love this big flower from the Ippity Now and Always stamp set. It is so fun to cut out and layer with different kinds of pattern papers. LOVE it! For these flowers, I used Basic Grey Lemonade papers.

I ran the pink card front (from core'dinations Berry Reds pack) through my cuttlebug with the Papertrey Ink Sunshine Impression plate. I just loooooooove that impression plate, I have used it on ALOT of cards lately.

The sentiment is stamped on a Spellbinders Labels 10 die cut. I stamped angel pink flowers from Papertrey Ink's Flutterby Friend on the background of the die cut, then stamped the word, Friend in black ink right on top of the pattern. I attached it to some pink satin ribbon, and added a double-bow for fun!!

Please check out the Ippity Blog for the list of talented ladies who will be sharing their art with you today! You will be totally inspired. :-)

Have a FABULOUS day, friends!!

Another Teacher Appreciation

Hey Peeps, here's another super simple teacher appreciation card I made a while back, during teacher appreciation week for PaperManiac. I simply stamped the desk stamp from Taylored Expressions- Make the Grade, onto a white cardstock base. I then paper-pieced the desk front and chair top with October Afternoon- Report Card pattern paper. I colored the rest of the image with Copic markers, and then drew a frame around the card with a black Sharpie pen.

Heres a picture of the inside of the card too. The pattern paper is from the October Afternoon- Report Card collection. The stamped imaged are from Taylored Expressions- Make the Grade and Extra Credit stamp sets. Again, I drew a frame around the card with a Sharpie pen.

Easy. Fun. Grateful.

Celebrate Your Day

Hi there! I have to say...I am sooooooo LOVIN' the new Echo Park papers. They are so bright, fun, and summery. I especially like to pair them with some of the Papertrey Ink new release stamps.

Here, I used Papertrey's stamp sets: All About You Additions, Flutter By Friend and Signature greetings. The pattern papers are Echo Park's Summertime Collection.

I just had to create a summery scene on this card. I cut grass out of the pattern paper, and colored the flowers with copic markers and then paper pieced them to the cardfront. The flowers and butterflies all have a touch of glitter on them, what's a summer card without some sparkle??

This card just screams HAPPY, for me. I enjoyed making it, and I hope it will bring someone joy on their birthday or special day. :-)

{Celebrate Your Day}
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink- Summer Sunrise.
Pattern Paper: Echo Park Summertime
Stamps: Papertrey Ink- All About You additions, Flutter By Friend, and Signature Greetings.
Ink: Memento.
Accessories: Copics, Glitter Glue, Papertrey Ink Chartreuse stitched ribbon and dimensionals.

Teacher Appreciation Time

SO, we are heading into the end of June, and with that comes the time to thank our teachers. This year, my daughter is finishing preschool, which is bittersweet for my husband and I. We absolutely LOVE the school she has been attending since she was a baby, and hate to see this chapter come to a close. However, September will bring a whole new chapter as she begins Kindergarten. MY, how time flies!!

Anyway, our daughter has been blessed with the most wonderful teachers throughout this chapter of her life. I always take the time to send a little thank you card and gift towards the end of the year. This year, Ms. Cindy prepared all the children for Kindergarten, and did a FABULOUS job. (Although we did not expect anything less- she is the BEST!!)

This card uses the Taylored Expressions kits called, Making the Grade and Extra Credit. These are two awesome kits for making teacher appreciation cards. I also used October Afternoon- Report Card pattern paper.

The inside of the card reads:

The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires.
Don't you just love that?? It is so true!!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a fabulous day, and a happy summer too!!

Supplies: Cardstock: PTI Vintage cream. Pattern Paper: October Afternoon- Report Card. Stamps: Taylored Expressions- Make the Grade, Extra Credit. Ink: Memento. Accessories: Spellbinders Labels 9, Copics.
