On Your New Home...

I absolutely LOOOOVE the Unity Stamp Co February Stampin Store Kit, "Life is Fabulous." Its available only in Stampin Stores, such as, my favorite- Paper Maniac.

We have been snowed-in here in NJ for about 2 days now- we have over 30" of snow and its still falling!!! So, while the baby was on one of his naps, my daughter and I decided to go downstairs and get crafty. This was great fun for me, as I have not been able to create in weeks! Having the baby did wonders for my mojo!! :-)

This stamp set has tons of really cute images and sentiments this month (I know- I say that EVERY month, but that is Unity, they keep getting better!!) I really liked this house image and decided to make a "new home" card, inspired by baby Danny's homecoming.

I was also inspired by the wonderful sketches you can find on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog, this card follows Fall To Layout #76 (FTL76). Only, I combined the 4 squares into one large rectangle for that spot on the card. Every Friday a new sketch is posted, you have to check it out, if you love sketches and love CAS style.

Below, is a close up of the house image, all colored in. Isn't the little furniture adorable?? I had fun coloring those. And, I went with an orange theme, since that is my daughter's favorite color.

Supplies: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co- FEB Stampin Store Kit-"Life is Fabulous." Papers: Prism- White, Bazzil- Orange. Ink: Memento- Black. Copics. Accessories: Orange Polka Dot ribbon.

Welcome Danny!!

I have not been too active on my blog this past month, but it's all for good reason- my husband and I welcomed our second child into our family on Monday, February 15th. The picture above is my daughter Amanda and I before we left for the hospital.

AND...here is our son, Daniel Steven. A sweet bundle of joy, weighing 7lbs-12oz and 18.5" long!

Here's Eric- a proud papa indeed.

This is one of my favorite pictures, doesn't he look sooooo peaceful sleeping in Daddy's arms?
This is one of the first pictures I have with me and my kiddos.

And, here we are going home. Yayyyyyyy! (I could not wait to get out of the hospital and get home) We have been home for a few days now and its been great settling back in. Amanda just adores her little brother (often, we have to tell her to give him some space- she's that close!!).

Hoping to be able to create some cards and pages real soon!

Thank you all for your prayers, well-wishes and kind thoughts. Its an honor to have such wonderfully beautiful, creative friends like you!!

A "SWEET" Saturday with Paper Maniacs

Happy Saturday Peeps!! Paper Maniac has a super-fun theme this week, and its monochromatics- using HOT colors: Reds, Oranges, or Yellows. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I decided to go with REDS!!

I used the following supplies on this card: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co- December 2009 Stampin' Store Kit (isn't that such an adorable "bingo card" stamp?? I just love it!!) Papers: Kraft, Bazzill- Red and Neenah White, K&Co- Ka-zoo DSP (foil hearts). Ink: Memento- Lady Bug. Accessories: MS Loops Punch, Red satin ribbon, white gel pen, clear glitter glue.

Have you seen that OCC (Our Creative Corner) now has a sketch challenge site?? I used OCC Sketch #1 for the card layout above. Chek out the new blog for fun sketches on Thursdays.

AND- Patti is getting new product into the Paper Maniac store almost daily. I am sooooo excited to see the new stamps and paper lines especially. She is also carrying all the Unity Stamp Co new releases, as well as Flourishes. You will also see over 30 new lines of designer papers arriving shortly! Eeeeeek.

Have a fabulous Valentine's Day!!

All you need is LOVE

Are you ready for a SUPER FUN HOP, today?? The Paper Maniac girls have been waiting patiently for today to arrive, and it's finally here. If you have arrived from Krista's Blog, you are on the right track. If not, head back to the Paper Maniac store blog and start from there- you won't want to miss a single blog!!

Paper Maniac just stocked the new We R Memory Keepers paper pads- Tiffany's is used here. And, would you look at that- the song lyrics are printed right on the papers!!! Love it!! It's Just Another {IPPITY} Monday

It's just another {Ippity} Monday....doesn't that sound so much better than Manic Monday?? I am really starting to like Mondays now, of course its probably only because I get to spend it with such lovey, talented friends, like YOU!
I'll be honest, I had a hard time making a card this week. I had all sorts of ideas running through my head, and I even ended up throwing my first card away- after showing it to hubby, and he just went, "Oh, thats uhhhhh, cute??" Hahaha- CUTE?? No, it was not cute. Into the garbage it went. So, I decided to go CAS (clean and simple) again this week. It works for me.
I was so happy to be able to use the Ippity kit- Life's Little Moments on this card. I originally thought I would just use this kit on my scrapbooking pages- but its so versatile, you can pretty much use it on any project. YAY!!
I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #51, which inspired my card layout. You have to check out the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenges, they are so much fun to play along with!!
Supplies: Stamps: Ippity- Life's Little Moments. Papers: SU: Kraft, Naturals Ivory and Sassafrass- Sunshine Lollipops DSP. Ink: Vivid-Brick. Accessories: Checked Ribbon- Michaels, Flower- Prima, Dew Drops- Robins Nest, and Button- Foof-a-la.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Don't forget to check out all the other talented ladies, who are showcasing some awesome Ippity inspiration for you today.
AND, I will be back later to post the winner of the SMC Image- Jayden, Free Hearts, used in Friday's post, below. There's still time to leave a comment. Hooray!

Don't you just LOVE that valentine's bingo card stamp?? The December kit is FULL of cutesy valentine's images and sentiments, perfect for all those valentine's we'll be making soon!

I also made this card for the Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake Inspiration Challenge (CIC40) and used Taylored Expressions Sketch #96. I am so glad I had some time to play these challenges this week too. I have been following them for some time, but just never had enough time to participate. (I think thats because my days off this week, were actually days off, and not filled with other appointments. YAY. I'll have to make a point to do that more often.)

Don't forget to sign up for the Paper Maniac Magical Mystery Blog Hop, scheduled for January 30th. All the information, and sign up can be found on the Paper Maniac Storefront. Its going to be a great hop- filled with fun, friendship, inspiration and, of course, PRIZES!
