I'm Here for You, Always

When PTI released the Year Of Flowers: Gladiolus set last month, I knew it was a must-have. I love these flowers and was so happy to add these gorgeous stamps to my collection. The stamp set also includes some beautiful sentiments as well. On this card, I used the "I'm Here for You, Always" sentiment.
I stamped the image on white cardstock with Memento Black ink. I then colored the image with Copics and added some stickles accents to the flower centers for some sparkle. If you know me, you know I need sparkles on my cards. :-)
Next, and this is my new favorite technique, I stippled in some sky and grass- because, well, the white background just wasn't doing it for me today!! LOL. I used two large stipple brushes, one for the sky and one for my grass. I used Memento Bahama Blue for the sky and Pear Tart for the grass, and just gently inked up the stipple brushes and brushed the white cardstock to create a sky background and grass.
I tied some PTI New Leaf Bakers Twine around the bottom of the card and rounded two opposing corners and adhered the image to a PTI Hawaiian Shores card base.

Happy Fall

Here's another card I made using the super cool Sunflowers stamp set from Flourishes. I really LOVE these stamps, the sunflowers are so fun to color and decorate.
I wanted to go for a really rustic, fall feel on this card, so I used the PTI woodgrain impression plate on my card base after stamping and coloring the images. The images were stamped in Memento black ink and colored with Copic markers. I used distress stickles in the flower centers. The large flower is popped up on dimensionals.
The sentiment is from PTI Friendship Jar Fall Fillers and is cut using the Friendship Jar Label die. I tied a few rows of Chocolate bakers twine around the top of the card to finish it off.

Start Each Day With Whee

Here's a card I made using MFT Pure Innocence stamp called, Start Each Day With Whee! I just love that sentiment, and I am going to need to start doing that more often. LOL.
I stamped the image right onto the Kraft cardstock with memento black ink. I colored it with Copic markers and added some glittery accents to her shoes and barrette. I sponged a little desert sand ink on the bottom to resemble a mulchy/dirt area under the swing.
The tree "leaves" are cut from the jumbo scallop border die from MFT.
thanks for stopping by today.
Start your day with Whee tomorrow!! :-)
HUGS!!

Stop by to check out the projects, and, while you are there, be sure to become a follower. We are having a HUGE, and I mean HUGE 1st birthday celebration starting on the 10th!! You won't want to miss this party! :-)
Here's a card made with the new Flourishes Sunflowers stamps! Oh how I adore these huge sunflower stamps!! They are so much fun to color.
This is really a C-A-S card, one layer-stamped right onto the base. I used a small patch of Core'dinations Cosmo Cricket basics for the grass. I sanded the embossed area and that seemed to give this piece some nice details. I tied some vanilla stitched ribbon around the bottom and cut tiny grass strips across the top. I then scrunched them in different directions to give it a more realistic feel. The sunflowers are colored with Copics and I used Sassafrass buttons on the centers. The sentiment also comes from the Sunflower stamp set.
Hope you all have a very safe holiday weekend!!

Back to School- Backpack Tag

Here's a cute little backpack tag I made for Amanda's backpack- she started kindergarten today!! I cannot get over how fast 5 years has gone by! Anyway, she was super-excited and happy to head off this morning. She was even more excited when I picked her up, and had so many fun and amazing stories to tell us about her day. She can't wait to go back again tomorrow.

The image on the front of the tag is from Pink Cat Studios Back to School collection and is a digi stamp. I colored it with Copic markers and added glittery accents with Stickles on the dress and lunchbox. The ribbon is PTI raspberry fizz stitched.

The tag is cut using the Spellbinders Labels 10 die. I sponged around the edges with Memento Angel Pink ink. The back of the tag is raspberry fizz cardstock from PTI. I stamped the sentiment from MFT- Emma and Her Backpack inside the frame from PTI's Fillable Frames 7.

It doesnt show here, but at the bottom of the tag, I wrote: This backpack belongs to Amanda, Grade: Kindergarten, Teacher: Ms. Clark.

Here's to a fun school year for all of my friends and their kiddos!!

HI Adorable Owl

Happy Wednesday Peeeeeeeeps!! Hope everyone is having a fan-tab-u-lous day! Here's a card I made using another adorable digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio. This owl cutie is called, Patches. This card follows Taylor's sketch for the DTGD challenges. I wanted to go woodsy theme on this card, since the owl was such a cutie and kinda reminds me of Woodsy Owl. Anyone remember him from back in the day??? Lol. You know, "Give a Hoot, Don't Pollute!!" The card is 5X5 square, on a PTI white base- immpresssed with the sunshine impression plate. I used Echo Park pattern papers- Walk in the Park collection. The image is colored with Copics, and die cut using Spellbinders Classic Circles LG and SM. I sponged new sprout Memento ink around the image. The letter stickers are from Echo Park's Life is Good collection. I used PTI twine to tie around the card. Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Mahalo Kitty

Here's an adorable Kitty image from Pink Cat Studio, called Hula Kitty. I had fun making this card from some scraps that I had laying around on my craft desk.

The card base is 3.5"X5" and is the leftover strip from making a 5X5 card earlier. I ran it through my Cuttlebug with the font impression plate from PTI.

The oval die cuts I had laying on the desk too, so I used them here. I colored the image with Copics and added glittery accents to the flowers and Kitty's collar, and glossy accents to Kitty's eyes. I sponged around the image with new sprout Memento ink. The sentiment is on a Labels 10 die cut, and also sponged with new sprout ink.

The ribbon is PTI raspberry fizz.

Luvbug Ladybug

Here's another super-fun image from Pink Cat Studio! This is Luvbug Ladybug, and isnt it sooooo adorable? Love that it is holding a flower and has hearts on the antenae!! I had to glitter those up! It's all about the SPARKLE, people! (There is a close-up, below)

I just love these stamps, they are so much fun to color the images. On this one, I was even able to add some glitter and glossy accents. I made the ladybug wings all shiny, using glossy accents, and glittered the antenae.

The image rests on Spellbinders Label 3 die cuts. I used Memento Cantaloupe ink to sponge around the white layer. The big flowers are from Prima, and the button is from PTI. The felt border is made with the PTI Eyelet Lace border die. I am so loving the look that that border die creates, and I especially like using felt with it.

Here is a close-up of the image details:
