I was so happy when the Paper Maniac girls decided we would showcase scrapbook layouts for you this week. Destination....HAPPINESS

I'm sooooooo lovin the March Stampin' Store Kit- "Adventures in Happiness" by Unity Stamp Co. It has a lighthouse image!! (I am a huge lighthouse fanatic- anywhere we travel, I have to research where the lighthouses are. My hubby, Eric, is such a sport, because we have driven some considerable distances just to see them.) There are also ALOT of other super-adorable images in this kit, which you can get at the Paper Maniac store!
Here is a close-up of the card details.
I LOVE this quote: "In life's adventures may happiness be your destination."

The Claddagh

I am super excited to share this card with you today. St. Patricks Day is right around the corner and our theme at Paper Maniac this week is Everything Irish! The stamps for this card come from the AWESOME new kit from Flourishes, called Irish Blessings.
I remember, as a child, my grandmother (who is from Ireland), teaching me about the Claddagh symbol on this card. She showed me her ring and taught me that the Claddagh incorporates love, loyalty and friendship. Since that time, I have always been in awe of what this symbol represents, as these three powerful "ingriedients" are the core to any family.
Supplies: Stamps: Flourishes- Irish Blessings. Papers: PTI White. Little Yellow Bicycle- Lucky Me. Ink: Memento. Accessories: Lace Ribbon, Nesties- Circles, Copics. Inspired by: MOJO125.
Have a wonderfully happy day!!

Lavender Birthday Wishes

Purple is my favorite color (next to teal), so I just had to make a card using some of my yummy new purple papers from Prism (majestic purples) and Kaiserkraft (Lilac Avenue). I have tons of birthdays coming up in the next month, and I never have any birthday cards ready to go. So, any chance I get, I have been making birthday cards, with my daughter.

This card uses the Verve Spring Fling Sketch Challenge as the layout.

Here is a close up of the details of the card.

I used the Verve Stamp sets: Circular Sayings and Everlasting Life. The image and sentiment are stamped on white cardstock and then cut and embossed with the Spellbinders circle dies, then sponged around the edges with Memento Dandelion ink. The flower image is colored iwth Copic markers and then accented with clear glitter glue. The satin ribbon is from Papertreyink.

Thank You

I absolutely LOVE the layout on Clean and Simple Stamping this week (FTL81). I paired it with the Verve Spring Fling Challenge #1, which was to make a Clean and Simple card, using flowers. This is what I came up with. Soooooo easy!! And, I never have enough thank you cards on hand, so this layout was perfect to throw some together in a jiffy!

Here is a close-up of the detailed area of the card. I colored the flowers in with Copic markers, and then placed a small silver pearl inside the center of each flower. I used the Verve stamp sets: Grateful Elegance and Abundant Blessings.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful Saturday!!

Birthday Wishes

I made this card to play along with some of the awesome Verve challenges taking place today, as part of their new stamp release. I havent been able to play along in the release challenges in soooo long, so this has been great fun for me!! This challenge was a color challenge, and we were tasked to use the colors: Yellow, Chocolate and Green. Check out the challenges if you have time, prizes are awarded, and you have until Monday to upload your cards to the Verve blog!!

I also used Clean & Simple Stamping FTL #80 for my card layout.

Here is a close-up of the details of the card. The butterfly is colored with Copic markers and popped up on dimensionals. It's body is lined with silver pearls. I used the MS Loops punch down the side of the designer paper, which is Kaiserkraft- Lilac Avenue. The butterfly is from the Verve stamp set called: Beautiful Kindness, and the sentiment, also from Verve, comes from the Circular Sayings stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, wishing you a fabulous weekend!!

A Get Well Card

My grandmother is not feeling too well lately, so I made this card for her, to help her feel better. Its always nice to get "Happy Mail" when you're not feeling too swell, so I hope this does the trick.

I love this Sick Doggie image and Get Well sentiment from Pink Cat Studio. PCS releases new digi stamps every Thursday, and they are always sooooooo adorable.

Here's another shot of the card:

On Your New Home...

I absolutely LOOOOVE the Unity Stamp Co February Stampin Store Kit, "Life is Fabulous." Its available only in Stampin Stores, such as, my favorite- Paper Maniac.

We have been snowed-in here in NJ for about 2 days now- we have over 30" of snow and its still falling!!! So, while the baby was on one of his naps, my daughter and I decided to go downstairs and get crafty. This was great fun for me, as I have not been able to create in weeks! Having the baby did wonders for my mojo!! :-)

This stamp set has tons of really cute images and sentiments this month (I know- I say that EVERY month, but that is Unity, they keep getting better!!) I really liked this house image and decided to make a "new home" card, inspired by baby Danny's homecoming.

I was also inspired by the wonderful sketches you can find on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog, this card follows Fall To Layout #76 (FTL76). Only, I combined the 4 squares into one large rectangle for that spot on the card. Every Friday a new sketch is posted, you have to check it out, if you love sketches and love CAS style.

Below, is a close up of the house image, all colored in. Isn't the little furniture adorable?? I had fun coloring those. And, I went with an orange theme, since that is my daughter's favorite color.

Supplies: Stamps: Unity Stamp Co- FEB Stampin Store Kit-"Life is Fabulous." Papers: Prism- White, Bazzil- Orange. Ink: Memento- Black. Copics. Accessories: Orange Polka Dot ribbon.

Welcome Danny!!

I have not been too active on my blog this past month, but it's all for good reason- my husband and I welcomed our second child into our family on Monday, February 15th. The picture above is my daughter Amanda and I before we left for the hospital.

AND...here is our son, Daniel Steven. A sweet bundle of joy, weighing 7lbs-12oz and 18.5" long!

Here's Eric- a proud papa indeed.

This is one of my favorite pictures, doesn't he look sooooo peaceful sleeping in Daddy's arms?
This is one of the first pictures I have with me and my kiddos.

And, here we are going home. Yayyyyyyy! (I could not wait to get out of the hospital and get home) We have been home for a few days now and its been great settling back in. Amanda just adores her little brother (often, we have to tell her to give him some space- she's that close!!).

Hoping to be able to create some cards and pages real soon!

Thank you all for your prayers, well-wishes and kind thoughts. Its an honor to have such wonderfully beautiful, creative friends like you!!

A "SWEET" Saturday with Paper Maniacs

Happy Saturday Peeps!! Paper Maniac has a super-fun theme this week, and its monochromatics- using HOT colors: Reds, Oranges, or Yellows. In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I decided to go with REDS!!

Papers: Kraft, Bazzill- Red and Neenah White, K&Co- Ka-zoo DSP (foil hearts). Ink: Memento- Lady Bug. Accessories: MS Loops Punch, Red satin ribbon, white gel pen, clear glitter glue.

Have you seen that OCC (Our Creative Corner) now has a sketch challenge site?? I used OCC Sketch #1 for the card layout above. Chek out the new blog for fun sketches on Thursdays.

AND- Patti is getting new product into the Paper Maniac store almost daily. I am sooooo excited to see the new stamps and paper lines especially. She is also carrying all the Unity Stamp Co new releases, as well as Flourishes. You will also see over 30 new lines of designer papers arriving shortly! Eeeeeek.
